Sermons Of Rulon Jeffs

8 volumes

Sermons of President Rulon Jeffs. Hildale, Utah: Twin City Courier Press, 1996. A complete eight-volume set collecting the recorded sermons and addresses of Rulon T. Jeffs (1909–2002), president of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS). Known among his followers as “Uncle Rulon,” Jeffs joined the fundamentalist priesthood movement in the late 1930s, sat on its priesthood council in the 1940s, and became president of the FLDS Church in 1986 upon the death of Leroy S. Johnson, leading the community centered in the twin towns of Hildale, Utah and Colorado City, Arizona until his own death in 2002, when he was succeeded by his son Warren Jeffs. The eighth volume also gathers sermons of John Y. Barlow, an earlier leader of the fundamentalist priesthood council. Issued by the movement’s own Twin City Courier Press, the set is a primary record of FLDS preaching and doctrine in the 1990s.
